The Scorer Pachuca Enner Valencia opened the scoring
after 22 minutes with a powerful header in the heart of the area that beat the
Swiss goal guarded by Benoglio.
After the break, the team coached by Ottmar Hitzfeld came
out determined to take the lead and got the equalizer in the 47th with a header
Swiss Admir Mehmedi.
Reinaldo Rueda made two changes: 70 minutes went by
Michael Arroyo Felipe Caicedo to give more air in the attack, and 77 minutes',
took Jefferson Montero by Joao Rojas.
The changes did not improve much team play but the tie
remained until the 90 +2 minute when Haris Seferovic made the second to the
Swiss in a fierce counterattack.
With this result, Switzerland stands with the first three
points and put at the head of Group E. Ecuador will face Honduras in their next
match while Switzerland will face a great match against France.
