World Cup 2014: Colombia Defeats Greece, 3-0

Greece thrashed Colombia 3-0, on Saturday June 14, 2014 in Mineirão, Belo Horizonte Stadium in the first match of Group C of the World Cup Brazil 2014.

The group led by Jose Nestor Pekerman scored the first goal through Pablo Armero, who scored just 5 minutes into the match, after great personal attack from the right of Juan Guillermo Cuadrado. The wheel of the Fiorentina was not at his best but it was still dominating in today's game against the Hellenes.

The second was Teofilo Gutierrez in the 58th minute after "chasing" one serving from a corner kick by James Rodríguez ball. The River scorer was in the right place where they belong and the scorers scored the second for the Tricolor.

With this result, making Colombia the tip of the standings in Group C and will have to await the outcome of the match between Japan and the Ivory Coast to find its final position at the end of the first date of this Group. Greece will face Japan in their next match while Colombians touch hit Ivory Coast, a priori, the strongest opponent of the group stage.
